The Operating Team Accountant Role:
The Operating Team Accountant will act as a liaison to clients and manage their accounting operations across transaction bookings, payroll, receivables, payables, book closing, tax compliance or other accounting or operating finance functions.

The Operating Team Accountant Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting, preferred in Manufacturing, Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical Industry.

In-depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAPP) and knowledge of the procedures for maintaining of accounting records and automated accounting systems.

Comfort with accounting ERP/accounting software package (Quickbooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Business Central, etc.)

Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, PowerPoint, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and has skill in preparing tables, graphs, and charts.

Structured and disciplined -- excellent organization skills are required.

Excellent attention to detail and proven analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to be able to interact effectively with colleagues.

Ability to manage a variety of deadlines and priorities.

The Operating Team Accountant Responsibilities:
-
Act as a liaison to clients and manage their accounting operations across transaction bookings, payroll, receivables, payables, book closing, tax compliance or other accounting or operating finance functions.

Administer semi-monthly payroll and ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions; ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll requirements and prepare payroll tax forms as required.

Administer semi-monthly accounts payable and, once approved, release payments to vendors.

Manage semi-monthly accounts receivable / cash reconciliations.

Drive monthly account reconciliations, book closings, and reporting activities.

Review corporate credit card reconciliations on a timely basis and ensure appropriate coding by analyzing the nature of expenses.

Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems; support the team with special projects and other duties on an as-needed basis.
